18 Months

Halle turned 18 months yesterday! I can't believe that she is that old already! Time flies. I took her to her 18 month appointment and she is still in the 99th percentile for height and the 80th for weight. She has always been on the upper end of the percentiles. She has such a personality and is such a sweet little girl. Here are some things that she does now:

1. She talks A LOT! Usually it is just babbling, but she can say quite a few words now. She says dada, mama, bye-bye, hi, more, baby, book, block, backpack, ball, poo poo, go, fish, milk, and I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them right now.

2. She can show you where her eyes, ears, nose, cheeks, hair, teeth, and toes are.

3. She also knows what a dog, cat, horse, cow, pig, duck, and monkey say.

4. She continues to love to read books and I quite frequently find her in her room, climbed up in her chair reading books.

5. She also loves to play with her mega blocks and pulls them out several times a day so that we can play with them together.

6. She loves to just run around. This girl has endless energy and definitely does not like to sit still.

7. She is always so loving in the mornings and always drinks her milk in our bed and then gives mom and dad kiss after kiss.

8. She gets SO excited when we say that we are going somewhere. She will run to the front door and say "go, go, go!"

9. She LOVES to dance! If she hears music, she will stop what she is doing and start dancing right away. Her favorite song to dance to is Kernkraft 400 or the song that they always play at basketball games. She always gets so excited when she hears it.

10. She loves going for walks. The last week we have gone on quite a few because the weather has been so nice and she loves it!

11. She adores her Aunt Kristen! Jeff's sister Kristen lives in Provo and so we get to see her pretty frequently. Halle calls her "T" and always cries when Kristen has to go home. She is such a good aunt to her!

12. She is in the stage where she likes to take EVERYTHING out of drawers. My kitchen always has tupperware and different utensils strewn across the floor and Halle loves opening her dresser drawers and throwing everything out of them. Hopefully this stage won't last too much longer! :)

13. Halle loves blankets. She has her favorite but loves them all. If she sees one, she has to have it.

14. She is a climber! She is constantly climbing up on the couches, chairs, and our bed (well she tries).

15. She really likes the vacuum. It is kind of weird, but every time I get out the vacuum she gets really excited. I think she likes running away from it when I turn it on. She also likes to push around her stroller or walker when I'm vacuuming, imitating me.

16. She is constantly saying, "no no." She likes to tell Jeff and me this several times a day. I guess I must be telling her that too much.

17. She loves Mickey Mouse and likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every morning. She especially likes the Hot Dog song at the end.

18. Halle loves hair. She loves playing with mine and always runs her fingers through my hair at night when I'm rocking her and she is drinking her milk before bed.

Halle goes into nursery on Sunday! I think that she will really like it. Now she can play and have fun instead of having to sit still and be quiet. She is such a sweetheart and I feel so blessed to be her mom! We love you Halle Babes! Happy 18 Months!
