Recent Happenings

For some reason I can never post anything right after it happens. It seems to always takes me a couple of weeks. So... for 4th of July weekend we were able to do a lot of fun things. We went to an Owlz (baseball) game, enjoyed breakfast together, went and played at Seven Peaks, went and spent time with my grandma up in Salt Lake, swam and enjoyed lunch at Gary and Monica's, and watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks from the MTC lawn. We had a lot of fun! My sister Camille came down from BYU-Idaho for the weekend and my other sister Amelia is here for the summer, so we were able to hang out and enjoy the 4th together.

Halle at the Owlz game. She was all over the place-playing with other kids and running up and down the grass hill. She had a great time.
Camille, Amelia, Burton, and Chris. I'm not sure why Chris is making this face, but I think it is kind of funny.

Camille, Amelia, and Burton again.

Jeff, Halle, and me enjoying the fireworks. Halle is in a daze or something here.
We also went to Idaho this past weekend for my 2nd cousins's wedding. It was really nice to see some of my relatives that I hadn't seen in years, especially my Grandma Spencer who I haven't seen since I got married 3 years ago. It was a really short trip (seriously almost exactly 24 hours from start to finish) but I'm glad we went. We were also able to hang out with Camille a little bit and see her apartment and visit with her and her roommates.
Other than that I've just been enjoying the summer weather and hanging out with my sister Amelia every day. It has been so fun to have her here and for Halle and Burton to be able to play with each other. I'm going to really miss having them here come September when they move back to California for Chris to finish his last year of graduate school. I guess we'll just have to live up the last few months that we have.
