Fun Filled Weekend and A Birthday

A few weekends ago I got to go home for my sister Melissa's bridal shower and my other sister, Camille going through the temple for the first time in preparation for her mission. I picked Melissa up in Oakland on Friday and we headed to my parent's house for the weekend. It was a really short trip, but so fun! We went to the Fresno Temple on Friday evening and did a session. Megan was nice enough to watch my kids for me and both did surprisingly well. Or at least she claims they did. :) Thanks Megs! I really appreciate it.

My camera was on the wrong setting of course, so our group shot is really blurry. I really need to figure out our new camera! Oh well. Here is Halle, Melissa, my mom, dad, Camille, Megan, Ryan, and me.

Our smiley guy waiting outside the temple. You can see his two bottom teeth here. He has three more that have come in since on the top.

On Saturday, we went to the Swedish Festival that Kingsburg has every year the third weekend in May. We watched the the parade, visited my Uncle David at the ice cream stand he was volunteering at, got Halle some ice cream from the stand, Halle went on a train ride, and we walked around some of the booths. Melissa also had her bridal shower that afternoon, but guess who forgot her camera..ME! I put it on the couch and grabbed my bag and Ryan, but some how forgot my camera. The shower was really nice though and I was able to catch up with a lot of the ladies from my home ward and see some of Melissa's friends that I haven't seen in years. We all had a great time and I don't mean to brag or anything, but I didn't miss a question on the Melissa and Greg game we played. Okay so maybe Melissa told me a lot of the answers on the drive down to Kingsburg, but still. :) There was a great turn out and Liss got a lot of great stuff for her and Greg.

Sunday we went to church and hung out together as a family. And on Monday we visited with my cousin Ryan and then left to come back home. It was short, but sweet! We had a great time.

I also celebrated my 25th birthday. Jeff surprised me with a new computer...a Macbook Pro!! I was shocked and so excited. Our computer died the first week of May and I had been asking Jeff for a new one ever since. Having no computer for three weeks was rough! So, I'm so glad we got a new one. I have never had a Mac before, and I don't know how everything works yet, but I'm loving it so far! It is so nice!! I had a great birthday filled with spending time with family, talking to every single one of my sisters and my parents, going out to dinner with Jeff and the kids, and having cake and ice cream with Jeff's family. It was a great day!
