New Year's Resolution...Be a Better Blogger
Well since it has been a month and a half since I have posted anything, I figured that it was about time to do so. We just got back from California yesterday night from our Christmas break. We were able to spend Christmas with my family this year and then head up to Northern California to spend New Year's with Jeff's family. We had a really great time despite the fact that it took us 16 1/2 hours to get to my house when it is supposed to take 11. With the snow, lots of traffic, and accident after accident we ended up staying at a hotel and finishing the drive the next day. Halle did extremely well which we were very grateful for. We were able to do a lot of shopping, go out to eat, watch movies, play games, and even spend a day in Disneyland. It was fun having a break and being with those that we love most. My oldest sister Melanie was at her in-laws house for the holidays and my sister just younger than me is in Kalispell, Montana, serving a mission, but the other four sisters were able to be there.
We had my Uncle David come over one night dressed as Santa Claus. As you can see Halle was not such a fan of Santa. Poor baby!
We have a tradition of taking a "sister picture" every Christmas Eve. We always sit oldest to youngest on the fireplace. This is the picture from this year. We were missing Melanie and Melissa.

We got her a little piano because my sister Megan has one and she loves it. She wanted to play with it right away.

Halle's new thing is to clap when she likes something. After almost every present she opened, she would clap. At least we know she liked it!
This was probably Halle's favorite present. This has kept her occupied for many hours already. Thanks Amelia for telling me about them!
Walking around Disneyland.
Daddy and Halle on "It's a Small World." This was definitely a favorite of Hals.
The whole group in front of the huge Christmas tree in California Adventure. My mom had four Disneyland tickets that needed to be used before the end of the year, so Jeff, Halle, Camille, Megan, and I drove down for a fun-filled day at Disneyland. We went after Christmas, but all of the Christmas decorations were still up. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Kath I am loving the new post. You guys got some good pics of Hal. It makes me laugh thinking about Halle sticking her tongue through her legos. I wish the kids could still play together.
cute pics! I'm glad you had such a fun time. while I was looking at the pictures, I got to the one with Halle with her bottle and I seriously double-taked, thinking it was Hailey. haha. You'd think I'd know my own child. haha. I think we'll see you tomorrow at dinner, so see you then!!
