This past weekend was great! My birthday was on Sunday and then Memorial Day was of course on Monday, so it made for a very full and very fun-filled weekend. I told Jeff that what I wanted for my birthday was to go to the Park City outlets and get some new summer clothes. So on Saturday we woke up and headed to Park City to spend the whole day shopping. It was totally fun (for me) and I was able to get some cute things which made it even better. Jeff was so sweet as I would drag him from store to store. He didn't complain once and let me pick out whatever I wanted. What a great husband, right? Halle did really well and even fell asleep in her stroller for awhile which was great.
On Sunday morning Jeff took Halle so that I could fall back asleep, I opened gifts from my family, and then we went to church. Jeff spoiled me the whole day by changing all of Halle's diapers, doing the dishes, and giving me a back scratch (one of my favorite things in the whole world). I was able to talk to my family for a long time, take a short nap, and then my friend Aishe came over and brought me brownies and some beautiful lilies. I told Jeff that I didn't want a cake this year and instead opted for some brownies. My friend Aishe insisted that I didn't make my own "birthday" brownies and so she made them for me. Thank you for that! We had brownies and ice cream and hung out for a while. It was such a nice day!
Monday, we headed up to my friend Karin's house for a barbeque and swim party. This was the first time that Halle had been swimming this year and oh boy did she LOVE it! Right when she saw the pool she wanted to get in and then she cried when we all got out to eat. It was a little bit cold, but she didn't care. She even went down the water slide and completely went under the water twice, which didn't phase her. She loved every minute of it! I guess we'll be swimming a lot more this summer. It is Halle's new favorite thing.
For some reason I didn't think to get any pictures of the weekend. Jeff wanted to take a picture of me when I first woke up on Sunday, but I told him that no one wanted to see me like that and then I think I just forgot to bring it out later. Oh well.

That all sounds fun. I hope you got some good clothes, and good job to Jeff for not complaining once. That's fun that Halle likes to swim so much. She'll have to swim a lot with my kids when you guys come in June. Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Katherine!! (I know, I'm a little late. I need to be better at that!) Anyway, I'm so glad you had such a good birthday and fun weekend! A full day of outlet shopping sounds awesome. I could use one of those:) And that's rad Halle loves the water! this will be a fun summer for you guys.
Kath our kids can be fishies together. Burton always tries to escape at mom and dad's and run to the pool. He calls the ocean a pool too. Maybe Hal can teach Burton to say grandma, he still won't say it. Oh and I tried to email you some pics but it wouldn't work. I'll try again later.
